About Kia
The Kyungsung Precision Industry metal tube and bicycle components firm was established in December 1944, marking the beginning of Kia’s history. The business started producing bikes for Honda in 1957 and Mazda trucks in 1962 after changing its name to Kia Industries in 1952. Later, the collaboration with Mazda expanded to the automotive sector, with Kia ultimately producing vehicles for Fiat and Peugeot under a deal that lasted until the early 1980s. Around 1990, Kia started producing automobiles under its brand, and a few years later, it entered the U.S. market.
Although Kia no longer makes coupes or pickup trucks, the company still manufactures various other cars. Kia’s initial target market was young, active consumers on a low budget, but the company is now offering competitive goods that don’t need an asterisk next to their names. At your peril, please ignore it.
