About Lexus
After almost six years of in-house research and development, 1989 saw the public debut of Toyota’s upmarket Lexus brand. It was designed to attract wealthy Americans who would probably not consider buying a Toyota vehicle otherwise to higher-priced, more lucrative luxury-focused autos. The 1990 LS 400, the brand’s signature sedan, was a sleeker version of the renowned Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but Lexus raised the ante by providing a more luxurious ownership experience.
The brand, first distributed via a network of around 81 new dealerships, effectively emphasized its catchphrase, “the relentless pursuit of perfection,” in an intelligent television commercial featuring a roaring LS400 with a stack of champagne glasses placed precisely on its hood. Despite criticism for missing the emotional resonance of its European rivals, Lexus’s build quality was unquestionable from the start. It proved to be more dependable over time than even its German rivals.
From only two cars in 1989 to a complete portfolio of sedans, SUVs, and specialty vehicles more than three decades later, including a small luxury sports coupe and a lusty high-end sports car. Its portfolio is primarily offered in conventional or hybrid configurations.
Its products have continued to raise the bar regarding durability and owner satisfaction within their sectors, and it is now a credible and well-respected luxury vehicle brand. In addition to its reputation for unwavering dependability, “F Sport” products have expressive looks and various sport-tuned features. Although Lexus may have a limited history, we anticipate the company’s long and prosperous future.
